for the Z-tune, i'd just import a GRID mesh as a 3D-blueprint. I know its inaccurate, but it could be a good basis.

As for the IV conversion: many 3D details could not be used, since IV takes more resources by default. I could make the defrosters from texture, and (if you allow), i'd like to use normals/alphas on some other parts instead of full3D (my LP560 is not that high-poly, round 65k, and still it made the game lag seriously)

Thanks for the pics Shelbymotor, if you got others, possibly the roof, I'll take.

So, started the convertible : (with AT)

Need to model the soft roof (open and close) and... some finishing again.

Geschrieben von Raptor am 29.11.2009 um 02:01:

Wow, that's very impressive! As far I know it's the first 2005 Mustang convertible. The only thing I don't like is the grill-mesh, it looks too big. I hope you'll finish it.

Geschrieben von Foxboro am 29.11.2009 um 12:15:

This is not the first 5gen convertible, there is a GT500 and one from impostor as far I remember...
About the grill, I don't really know, it's true, mesh looks big, but on my pics, it's almost accurate but I will check that.

So, started the closed soft roof:

It's the first time I model a soft roof and, I'm not really satisfy with...
So, what do you think about the basic shape?

Geschrieben von schaefft am 29.11.2009 um 14:22:

Looks good so far, just dont forget the rear window and window trim so it doesnt look like its completly made of Vinyl (or whatever it is).

Geschrieben von Foxboro am 29.11.2009 um 15:45:

2005 convertible soft top is a bit different, don't have plastic window trim (or hidden)

Anyway, small update:

And, the rear, maybe too square...

That's cool man good

Fited TDU bodykit to the Stang, difficult, but result is so lovely!
The rims are scratchmade as well as the rear logo... Don't take care at the interior, it still stock atm.
It's a 2005/2006 3 Valve convertible :

A stuff I never see on the 2 other available for SA are the "war paints", so mine have them.

Looks great, especially with that Saleen bodykit. It looks sportier than a stock Mustang. derisive

Geschrieben von schaefft am 20.12.2009 um 17:07:

Lots of high quality work here, great job.

Seems like your Mustang is getting close to the finish line, any new projects planned already? lachen

Geschrieben von Foxboro am 20.12.2009 um 20:51:

Thanks Schaefft,

I don't really know which car will be the next, I have to finish the R-34 and after, maybe an IS-350.

I think modeling is 90%, need Saleen seats and SC bodykit for now.
I will try to put it in game before Christmas.

An update on the engine, designed for the Saleen :

The cover is now an extra only on Ford.

Geschrieben von schaefft am 20.12.2009 um 23:43:

IS350 sounds good to me. lachen

Progress looks sick, pls show us some wires.

Geschrieben von fordfocus33 am 20.12.2009 um 23:48:

The engine is awesome. O_O
How many polys has the car? smile

Geschrieben von Foxboro am 21.12.2009 um 00:09:
