Hum, better than the first one.

It has become a very good car...the rear lights are way better now. Nice to see so much progress!

Geschrieben von Elvis am 22.07.2010 um 22:50:

More update, albeit a smallish one. I've made the rear-end underbody. I modified a Forza 3 bumper frame because I found it too good to pass up. Also added a towhook.

Next up: Front-end underbody and the engine.

Note: Somewhere in this post is a hint

Yea! The lights looks very realistic streicheln victory

Will these Volvos get Diesel engine or Petrol/Gasoline one?

Geschrieben von schaefft am 23.07.2010 um 11:01:

Does it get a trailer? lachen Very good work sofar!

Original von Sean(Taiwan)
Will these Volvos get Diesel engine or Petrol/Gasoline one?

He choose a 2.4l gasoline engine. Diesel would be fine too, but not sold in US.

Nothing to add now, you know exactly what to do on this car.

Geschrieben von Sean(Taiwan) am 24.07.2010 um 12:37:

Hmm...yep it is reasonable and possible to have a 2.4L gasoline engine
Since many Americans love gasoline engine instead of diesel...
You'd better get a turbocharged version 2.4L engine...
For overtaking some old American wagons with V8 aamegaLoL

Geschrieben von Elvis am 26.07.2010 um 17:51:

@Sean: It's the 2.4 litre turbo gasoline engine indeed, since this was the only one that was available with AWD at the time.

After some radio silence from me, I'm back with an update. I've finished the front-end underbody and the engine. Might've gone a bit overboard on the engine, but I wanted to make it as accurate as I could. Therefore all the piping isn't some random plumbing, but modeled after reference.

Geschrieben von Foxboro am 26.07.2010 um 19:32:

You're modeling damn fast ! And good overall !

You should just add a texture on the intake manifold and engine crate (or block ?)

The 3 fans behind the grill are on the real car ?

How many polies for that engine ?

Geschrieben von Elvis am 26.07.2010 um 22:48:

As for the fans: I think so, but I'm not entirely sure. I've had a look at a V70 parked near where I live, and I thought I saw 3 fans.

Engine in total is about 3k polies.

As for the texture: I'll have a go at it and see what I can come up with.

BTW, Elvis
You love this Volvo, what about those are selling now?

Geschrieben von schaefft am 27.07.2010 um 11:29:
