Nice start on the project, and it's easy to make a paintjob template for it,when you're done with the car,you detach all the parts mapped with the bodymap texture, and you cut up the mesh, arrange it on a blank texture, printscreen it in the uv map window, and that will be your pj template, off course it's easier to do it in Max than in Zmod 2.

Or I must waith untill end of November to get a new notebook with 9600M GT.
But otherwish I'll send my mesh to someone who wants to make the pj

Hi everbody,
Thats a long time to post some updates.
Its takes me very much time to add details to anything.
Im now working on the discbrakes rotors.
Too painfull in my ass....22350 polies!!
OMG! If I go ahead to add very good details the car comes
around 100k polies or 300k.
Im thinking about making new wheels rims.
Some screens of the disc:
I dont know about the release.
Or I dont or I do...

You don't need the brakes...you only need the disc in GTA...because you have to attach the disc to the wheel.
Look...this is my disc. Low Poly
.

Only 730 Polys

Well, it looks good but it can be better
This not just a low poly lambo
Because I am a ver lambolover I want make this perfect in the game.
Anything in 3d, especially words, buttons, rims, lambo logo
radio, radiobuttons and much more!
4 rims, each with 22.350 polies, 89,400 polies
But yh, you know...
An update of the coloured brake:

730 vs 22.350

Yes...your one looks hotter then my one...but my one is for a Game. And your's more for rendering. It's not for a game...A Car with over 300.000 Polys for San Andreas? I don't want this car
...sorry.

I didnt say it goes over 300.000, I say maybe its can if I add high details.
But, there are some cars about 250.000, 300.000 and more than 600k polies.
So whats the matter?
I'll try to reduce them.

Even for me 300k is too much. Stick around 150k - could be fine, I have a few such poly bomber (e.g. my own Murci + Murci Roadster
) around more or less. My game can handle up to 8mb vehicles, no prob (atm have 2 installed in a full modded gta). What will a 300k one have? 12mb?
Make less detail where it is not needed. Make a render model, and please make a game model, that differs much! As Gnome said, you don't need the brakes, they would spin around if mounted on the disk or stick through the rims when mounted on the chassis. Both options do not look good, in special for a lambo lover, I guess. I know what you are talking about, the Ferr. F40 I made some days ago has 5.xx mb and 130k and STILL is much to big and detailled - and there is nothing I could cut to make it less without loosing the best look - and I have lost a lot for game options. But its worth it, because I can play it.

I totally agree with you, Threepwood. Make less detail where it is not needed...
By the way, I made the thread name nicer...

It is not freaking heavys, and it is not ruining the game per default - but if you have more than one mod you'll see what happens.
However - do as you wish, its your mod, and this are just suggestions. I do the same, noone is forced to d/l anything if it doesn't fit. But some compromises have to be done, to have a good looking ingame and some customers out there. Like the brake, who wants it when it sticks in the rim always? You do a good or even great job, it looks fantastic! It's just a bit of a overdose

No offense, man, but 23K polies for a brake is.. nonsense! I made a similar brake disc of 2000 polies. Besides that, the stuff looks cool, but you can delete the caliper as you have it, you cant use it properly in the game.. either it spins with the wheel,or it wont rotate in turns.

yh, i have to see first befor i dlete the brake.
Cars with brakes in the game looks better and great than
only having the disc.
Well, that more than 500/600k polies sh*tfiatcar is nonense!
One stupid question, does the game run very smooth when the car
is 300k on GF 9600M GT 512MB, up to 1791 MB
Im always planning that gfx for GTA IV.
But its f***ing too long to wait!

For the brake: waht exactly do you want to see? D/L any car on GWM with brakes, you will immediately notice. But just think of following: the brake is attached to the chassis -> no movement! The wheel turns when you turn, the brake will stay at its place -> it sticks through the rim. Easy as that. If you attach the brake to the wheel .. it will rotate with the wheel.
I really wonder what you want to see first? If we say truth?

The car is still alive?
Yes!
But too, failed to finish the deadline.
I was supposed myself to finish it before 2009.
But no.
At least the car got an extremely improvements and its getting nicer.
The radio buttons will glow at night, the 3d gauge meters will glow at night too.
No stupid alpha textures anymore, the most of the chassis percentage is 3d.
Ill get 2 versions, Roadster and Coupé editions.
Sounds like same but some thing are differents.
The car will be tuneable with wheels, nitro's, colours and hydraulic and spoilers.
But first, I have to finish it fast as possible befor the car get f*cked up and more f*cked up by
zmodeler with his mapping information issues.
I add some pics and you can see what I mean.
